Watch Hill residents know that there’s no better village than this. It’s a small, friendly, near-perfect place, two hours by train from both Boston and New York. The charming old streets are lined with shingled beach cottages, tidy gardens and shops full of treasures. There is art and local theatre, homemade ice cream and antiques, long, rambling walls of smooth beach stone. The Flying Horse Carousel, the oldest of its kind still in use in the United States, is always a popular spot, and everyone is drawn to the ten miles of beach that edge the endless ocean. The ocean, of course, begets a rich culture of boats: yachts and sailboats, fishing vessels and surfboards. You can charter a boat or moor your own; spend your days on the water and your nights at the Ocean House. What could be better? Come and see us. We’ll show you our village, and our vision of how magnificent the Ocean House will be.
