Historic Hotel to Re-Open in June 2010

WATCH HILL, RI, August 2009 – Daniel Hostettler, Managing Director of the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI, is pleased to announce that Antonia Korosec has been appointed as the Assistant Managing Director of Rooms for the 49-room, five-star hotel. Korosec joins the Ocean House team as they finish rebuilding the historic hotel and prepare for the grand re-opening in June 2010.

“Ms. Korosec’s extensive background working in prestigious hotels around the world, provides her with the perfect combination of experience and sophistication that defines the Ocean House as well as an intrinsic understanding of the level of world-class service that will be provided to our guests and residents,” said Hostettler.

“I am thrilled to join the talented team at the Ocean House,” said Korosec. “The incredible vision of the development team and Mr. Hostettler’s experience working at five-star, luxury hotels have elevated the Ocean House to a new level of seaside luxury that still honors it’s incredible history in the area.”

A resident of Monte Carlo and world traveler, Korosec most recently served as the Assistant Managing Director of Le Grand Paradis, an upscale, seasonal ski resort hotel in Val d’Isere, France. From 2006 to 2008 she was Executive Assistant to the President and Assistant Hotel Director (Rooms Division) for the Lajitas Resort & Spa in Lajitas, TX. The 120-room property is recognized as a Leading Hotel of the World and is a member of Preferred Boutique.

Earlier in Korosec’s career she served as the Food and Beverage and Club House Manager of the Yacht Club de Monaco, a luxury private club founded by HSH Prince Rainier III, with a distinguished roster of international clientele, and operated at a  five-star standard. She was also a guest relations associate for the Orient-Express Hotel Group, serving its luxury cruise ship Road to Mandalay in Myanmar.

Korosec received her undergraduate degree in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole Hotelier de Lausanne in Switzerland and is fluent in French, English, German and Spanish.

The Ocean House originally opened in 1868 as a seasonal resort. The new year-round hotel and residence will open in June 2010 and will provide guests and residents with a luxurious seaside resort experience. Guests will be treated to “farm to table” cuisine in both fine and casual dining venues. The 12,000 square foot OH! spa will feature six treatment rooms, an ocean view lap pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center.  A 1,000 foot expanse of private beach will provide guests with an oceanfront playground complete with staffed cabanas and an array of water sports and area activities.

The Ocean House will also feature over 10,000 square-feet of indoor and alfresco events space to accommodate private gatherings, corporate retreats, business conferences and weddings.
