"Show Your Cause" Charity Show House
June 08, 2010 - June 22, 2010. When the Ocean House debuts in June 2010 the cornerstone of its grand opening will be Show Your Cause, a Designer Show House fundraising event to benefit regional non-profit organizations. Show Your Cause will take place from June 8 to 22, offering supporters the chance to not only benefit the organization of their choice, but to be one of the first to experience the Ocean House. For a minimum $75 donation, attendees of the Show House will receive an exclusive tour of five of the property’s 23 private residences, each decorated by one of the Northeast’s finest interior designers: Cindy Rinfret, Rinfret, Ltd. of Greenwich, Conn., Hilary Heminway, Hilary Heminway Interiors of Stonington and New York; Peter Niemitz, Niemitz Design Group, Inc. of Boston; Susan Loney and Lisa Ballou, Art Design Interiors of Providence and Watch Hill; and Iliana Moore, Iliana Moore Interiors of Bronxville, N.Y. The tour and designer showcase will be followed by a tour of the resort and an exclusive luncheon at Seasons, the Ocean House’s signature restaurant, featuring delectable, local farm- to-table cuisine of the Atlantic Northeast. Construction Update: Seasons Restaurant
This week, I wanted to show everyone our amazing restaurant Seasons. The light fixtures hanging from the ceiling are one of my favorite pieces in the resort, and although the bar is covered in dust right now, it is a beautiful piece made out of mahogany that I am looking forward to meeting at for drinks with friends! The fireplace is just one of several in the dining rooms, and once the banquettes are installed on either side - it will be the perfect place for a cozy dinner! Read More
Construction Update: The Drawing Room
Today on site I went to visit the Drawing Room, an event space next to the Seaside Ballroom. It still needs a few coats of paint, the ceiling is unfinished, and the carpet still has to go in, but you can tell by the photos I have posted that the details are absolutely beautiful! From the mirrored wall sconces, to the beautiful woodwork, I can't wait to see the finished product. Read More
