Oceans have always held us in their sway. The scent of the sea can fill a body with fresh energy, an unnamable happiness. The small village of Watch Hill, Rhode Island was built on the edge of the great Atlantic for the expansive view of the sea. Americans who lived inland would come to visit, and in the Nineteenth Century, great seaside hotels were built. Soon, the Ocean House, legendary, elegant old empress that she is, will cast her eye upon the water and the wide miles of white sand beach again. Rebuilt and renewed, she will arrive at her second heyday in early 2010.
