What does the resort fee cover?

For your convenience, a daily resort fee is charged to provide guests with the following services and amenities:

  • Access to fitness facilities offering state-of- the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment
  • Snacks and beverages in guestrooms
  • Daily resort activities
  • Gratuities for all non-food and beverage staff including bellmen, valet, housekeeping and beach attendants
  • High-speed internet access in the guestrooms and on property
  • Local telephone calls
  • Toll free access calls
  • Valet parking

What is the dress code?

The dress code throughout the property is resort casual dress.

Do you accept dogs?

Yes, We accept dogs 50 pounds and under at Ocean House.  Two dogs are allowed if their total weight does not exceed 50 pounds total.  Please be advised that we will apply a one-time fee of $195 to your bill which is applied to deep cleaning.  A portion of that fee goes to Stand Up for Animals, an organization that helps pets and families of pets in need. Pets regretfully are not permitted in our Signature Suites or cottages.

Are children allowed?

We welcome children of all ages to the property.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly; therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy.

Stays September through June:

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days of the arrival date will receive the return of their deposit less a $150 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date will be charged the full cost of the reservation.


Stays the Last Week of June thru Labor Day:

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days of the arrival date will receive the return of their deposit less a $250 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made within 60 days of the arrival date will be charged the full cost of the reservation.


What deposits are required at time of booking?

Stays September Through June:

  • For stays booked more than 14 days before arrival, we require a deposit of 35% of the stay, which goes toward your charges upon departure.
  • For stays booked 14 days or less before arrival, we require the entire length of stay be paid in full.


Stays the Last Week of June Through Labor Day:

  • For stays booked more than 60 days before arrival, we require a deposit of 35% of the stay, which goes toward your charges upon departure. At 60 days the balance of the stay will be charged and is non-refundable at the time.
  • For stays booked 60 days or less before arrival, we require the entire length of stay be paid in full.

Do you have handicap accessible rooms?

Yes, select rooms within our Standard Queen category are ADA compliant. Please call the hotel directly to check availability.

Can I have a gift sent to a guest room?

Yes, gifts can be arranged through our guest services team.

Do you offer room service?

Room service is available to you 24 hours by calling or ordering using a QR code provided in-room.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check in begins at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 12:00 p.m.

Can I check in early and check out late?

We are able to take requests for both an early check-in and late check-out. While we’re unable to guarantee early access or delayed departure, we do welcome you to arrive to the property as early as you wish on the day of your arrival. If the room is not yet available to you, we are happy to store your luggage while you enjoy on-site amenities or a trip into town. The same applies to the day of your departure as well. Should a late check-out be unavailable, we are happy to store your belongings while you continue to enjoy an afternoon at Ocean House, Watch Hill, or the Rhode Island coastline.

What kind of kitchen supplies are available in the Signature Suite kitchens?

Each kitchen is equipped with the basic cookware to prepare a meal, as well as serving sets for six guests. Additional items are available upon request.

Can I have my kitchen stocked before I arrive?

Yes, we are happy to stock your kitchen as you wish via Pea Pod prior to your arrival. Download the form here.

Are the cottages located on property?

All of the cottages are located in the nearby residential area of Watch Hill. Most cottages are within a five-minute drive or short bike ride to the Ocean House.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 10:00 a.m. The check-in process for cottage guests is completed at the Ocean House Front Desk.

Are there bicycles at the cottages? Can we rent bicycles?

Each cottage is equipped with four bicycles, and additional bicycles may be rented for a small fee.

Is housekeeping included?

With a week-long rental, one housekeeping service will be included. Additional cleaning services may be scheduled through your dedicated Cottage Concierge for a fee.

What is the cottage cancellation policy?

At the time of booking, a cottage rental is secured with a non-refundable deposit equal to one night’s rental fee. Within 60 days of the reservation arrival date, our reservations team will assess 50% of the total rental cost, which then becomes nonrefundable as well. Within 30 days of the stay, the remaining balance will be assessed. At this time, the reservation is non-cancellable.


Do your restaurants take reservations?

Yes, COAST, Bistro, Verandah and seasonal private dining outlets (The Sipping Terrace and Fondue Village) all accept reservations. 

Are your dining outlets open to the public?

Yes, with the exception of the Members-only Club Room and our beach restaurant, Dune Cottage, all outlets are open to the public.

Is there a dress code?

COAST kindly asks that guests refrain from wearing jeans, shorts, flip-flops or sneakers. Jackets are preferred for gentlemen, however, they are not required.

Can you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?

Our talented team of culinary professionals is trained to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Please be sure to notify our team members of any dietary restrictions.

Can your dining room accommodate large parties?

We are able to accommodate parties up to 10 based upon availability. For larger groups or functions, we invite you to consider reserving a private space with our Catering & Events team.



Is the Ocean & Harvest Spa open to the public?

Ocean & Harvest Spa welcomes day guests. A $15 fee will be assessed, which grants access to the locker rooms, steam rooms and relaxation room. The fitness facility and pool are reserved for overnight hotels guests and members only.

Is there an age requirement for spa services?

Guests must be 18 years or older to receive spa services.

Do you offer day passes if we do not want services but want to use the facilities?

No, spa services must be reserved in order to utilize the facilities.

How many treatment rooms are at the Ocean & Harvest Spa?

The Ocean & Harvest Spa has eight treatment rooms, which includes one couples suite, as well as a salon including nail treatments and makeup applications.

Do you take group bookings, i.e. bridal parties and ladies spa days? How many services can you accommodate at once?

Yes, OH! Spa is the perfect option for a group spa day. The number of services our team is able to offer at one time is dependent upon the types of services desired. For group booking inquires please contact the Spa directly.

Do you have a fitness center?

The Spa is home to a 24-hour fitness center and movement studio which are accessible with a valid room key.

Do you have a pool? What is the length?

Hotel guests and members can enjoy an indoor heated saltwater lap pool, which measures 20 meters in length and offers two lanes.


Do you offer children’s activities?

Ocean House is a child-friendly resort and offers a number of activities to accommodate our younger guests.

Is there an age limit for children who may be enrolled in Sandcastles?

We ask that children participating in the program be at least 5 years old and fully potty trained.

Do you offer babysitting services?

We have a staff of highly experienced babysitters and are able to arrange for their services with advanced notice. View the form here.

What is there to do in the area?

Can I purchase a gift card?

Yes, gift cards can be purchased in any monetary denomination and can be purchased by clicking here or in person at the Front Desk.

What can I use a gift card towards?
