Ocean House, Weekapaug Inn and Watch Hill Inn have always been an important part of the community that that we serve. Inspired by the generosity of Ocean House Collection Founders Charles and Deborah Royce and their community commitment, our team members want to carry on this important tradition and make a meaningful difference in the area we call home.
Making An Impact
The Ocean House Fund for Charitable Giving
The Ocean House Fund for Charitable Giving is a donor advised fund administered in cooperation with the Rhode Island Foundation, a 501c3 organization, to focus on philanthropic efforts to support children, the disadvantaged, and foodways related causes in the New England area.
The Ocean House Fund was established five years ago and since then has helped several local organizations that support local children and families, who need it most.
The Fund also raises money through event programing including the Children’s Christmas party, special activations like the Gondola Village, and guest and employee involvement. Nominations for funding are made by Ocean House Collection employees. Donations and distribution of the Fund are determined annually by a committee of employees from the Ocean House, Weekapaug Inn and Watch Hill Inn.
Focus areas of giving for the Ocean House Fund include:
· Local children and families in need
· The improvement of foodways (distribution of food) to the underserved
In-Kind Gifts
Since inception, our properties donate more than $100,000 in in-kind donations to worthwhile efforts and organizations, most of which are local. In addition, we underwrite and support special initiatives when the needs are the highest. For example, The Ocean House Collection Food Truck served children and families when they were unable to get the nutrition they ordinarily would get through school lunches during the pandemic.

Helping Refugees
Ocean House Collection values diversity and celebrates our employees that represent many countries around the world.
We are joining others to support Ukrainians and the millions of people having to flee their homes. As a result, we are broadening our local outreach and are donating to the World Central Kitchen, to help provide food to Ukrainian refugees during the times they need it most. We applaud Trip Advisor’s commitment to match funds donated from the hospitality community. #ChefsforUkraine.
