Learn the ins and outs of creating an elegant seasonal meal (In the Kitchen), taste your way through excellent wines (In the Cellar) or please your palate with both food and beverage (In the Cellar).
In the Kitchen Culinary Education Series
On select dates each month, join the Ocean House culinary experts in our “In the Kitchen” Culinary Education Series. Work hands-on with members of the culinary team in the Center for Wine & Culinary Arts as you master the variety of topics.
Classes are on select Mondays and Fridays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. $150/person
2022 Topics and Dates:
APRIL 18, 22, 25, 29 – In the Kitchen: Flavors of April: Spring Vegetable Salad, Roasted Rack of Lamb and Pommes Anna. Looking for tips on cooking a perfect springtime meal? This class will teach guests how to prepare a delectable rack of lamb, a fresh seasonal salad, and the impressive French side dish, Pommes Anna. This is a perfect meal to add to your repertoire, for making for a romantic dinner or gathering of friends or family.
MAY 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30 – In the Kitchen: Classic French Favorites: Onion Tart & Trout Almondine. Looking for tips on cooking a magnifique French meal? This class will teach guests how to prepare a lovely onion tart and classic French fish dish: lightly pan-fried trout with a sauce made from sliced almonds, butter and lemon juice.
JUNE 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27 – In the Kitchen: Head To Tail Cooking: Veal Sweetbreads & Lamb Kidneys Have you always wanted to try some true “head to tail” dishes? Our experts will show you how to prepare some unforgettable dishes using often-discarded delicacies
JULY 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29 – In the Kitchen: Summertime Classics: Summertime Sides & Picnic Ideas. Looking to up your cookout or picnic game? Learn some great seasonal side dishes and ways to elevate what you bring along on your next picnic.
AUGUST 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29 – In the Kitchen: Preserved Luxury: Foie Gras Torchon & Fruit Compote. Learn, hands-on, what goes into making some impressive delicacies and condiments.Book an “In the Kitchen” Class
From Vine to Wine Education Series
On select dates each month, join the Ocean House wine experts in our “From Vine to Wine” Wine Education Series. Taste and learn in the Center for Wine & Culinary Arts as you master a variety of topics, and enjoy a beautiful cheese platter.
Classes are on select Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. $150/person

APRIL 16, 20, 27, 30 – From Vine to Wine: Is It Worth It? Ever think that you couldn’t tell the difference between an expensive wine and an inexpensive wine? In this class we take a look at why some wines cost more than others and challenge your palate to blind taste wines side by side to see if you can tell the difference between them.
MAY 4, 7, 11, 18, 21, 25 – From Vine to Wine: Wines of Burgundy. Join our Director of Wine for an exploration of excellent wines from the Burgundy region of eastern France.
JUNE 1, 4, 8, 15, 18, 22, 29 – From Vine to Wine: Food & Wine Pairing Basics. This is your opportunity to demystify the world of wine pairing! Learning the basics behind choosing the right glass of wine to go with your meal in our Center for Wine and Culinary.
JULY 6, 13, 16, 20, 27, 30 – From Vine to Wine: Rosé Wines From Around the World. Join our Director of Wine for a tour around the world with the summer rosé wine as your guide.
AUGUST 3, 6, 10, 17, 20, 24, 31 – From Vine to Wine: Loire Valley Wines. The Loire Valley of central France is home to a variety of wines, grapes and flavors. In the Cellar Education Series

APRIL 9, 23 – In the Cellar: Risotto & Italian Wines. Our culinary and wine experts demonstrate a delicious springtime risotto dish and tastings of the perfect Italian wines to serve with the classic dish.
MAY 14, 28 – In the Cellar: Cheese & Charcuterie Party. Join our Director of Wine and our culinary team in celebrating the warmer days of May with refreshing wines perfectly paired with an impressive charcuterie selection.
JUNE 11, 25 – In the Cellar: Pork & Pinot. Our wine and culinary team presents some terrific pork preparations, along side the prefect Pinot Noir pairings.
JULY 9, 23 – In the Cellar: Backyard BBQ & Beer. Join our culinary and beverage experts to celebrate summer with tips on great BBQ dishes and the ice cold brews to enjoy with them.
AUGUST 13, 27 – In the Cellar: Classic Shellfish & Wine Pairings. Join our Director of Wine and our culinary team as they present a variety of New England raw bar classics and some terrific wines to enjoy them with.Book an “In the Cellar” Class
